New chiral heterogeneous catalysts for enantio-selective hydrogenation, comprising rhodium, ruthenium or iridium diphosphane complex on mesoporous carrier

New chiral catalysts (A) comprise rhodium, ruthenium or iridium diphosphane complexes immobilized on a mesoporous carrier of the M41S family. New chiral heterogeneous catalysts (A) comprise noble metal diphosphane complexes (B) of formula (I)-(III) and a mesoporous material (C) of the M41S family. M = Ir, Rh or Ru; P-P = diphosphine; L-L = diene; L = olefin; and X = anion. Independent claims are included for: (A) the preparation of (A); and (B) the enantio-selective hydrogenation of double bonds of prochiral or chiral olefins, ketones and imines in presence of (A).
