<p>The invention is directed towards increasing tear strength in metallocene-prepared polyethylene films blown from a melt. The method comprises adding to the melt an effective amount of a nucleating agent selected from the group consisting of dibenzylidene sorbitol, paramethyl or dimethyl dibenzylidene sorbitol, and acrylic acid or maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene copolymers, and mixtures thereof.</p> |
