The hyperbaric chamber comprises an outer wall (6) which is curved in cross section, two flat outer walls (7, 8) and a flat intermediate wall (9) which defines a main chamber (11) and an equalisation chamber (12). Each flat wall (7-9) is provided with a rectangular access door (18, 19, 22) which is slidable along two sides between an open position and a closed position. The doors (18, 19, 22) are mounted in such a way as to be sealed by the action of the pressure. The inner floor (38) of the hyperbaric chamber (5) is coplanar with the outer floor (39) and has a space (41) in correspondence with each door (18, 19, 22) to allow closure thereof. In correspondence with the space (41) there is provided a floor strip (42) hinged to the edge of the floor (38), which is turned in response to opening and closure of the door (18, 19, 22) in such a way as to ensure coplanar continuity of the inner floor (38) with the outer floor (39).
