PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can reduce a peak power consumption of the whole device and can effectively attain low power consumption and battery's long service life by controlling a sweep out frequency for sweeping out an unnecessary charge in an imaging device by a sweeping out means. SOLUTION: A sweep out frequency of unnecessary charge in a CCD 13 by a signal generator 17 is made variable between f1 and f2 and a vertical shift register transfer pulse of the sweep out frequencies f1 and f2 is selectively outputted from the signal generator 17 under control of a CPU 18 in accordance with the presence/absence of diaphragming of a subject luminous flux by a diaphragm means 20. Also, a diaphragm means and a shutter means 12 are integrally composed as a diaphragm shutter unit 25. Moreover, a first release switch 26a for generating a first trigger by depressing a release button to a first stage and a second release switch 26b for generating a recording trigger of a second trigger by depressing the release button to a second stage are connected to the CPU 18.
