PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket for burn-in. SOLUTION: Each contactor 18 accommodated in a support part 14 of a base member 12 is formed with a contact part 18b for contacting with each electrode land (6) of an IC 8, and a shoulder part 18d close to the contact part 18b. A floating plate 22, on which the IC 8 are put, can move relatively to the support part 14. Each insertion hole 24 of the floating plate 22 is formed with a pressing part (86) which urges the shoulder part 18d of the contactor 18 sideward when the floating plate 22 is moved from a floating position to a depression position. When the floating plate 22 is moved to the depression position with the IC 8 put on it, the pressing parts (86) in the insertion holes 24 move the shoulder parts 18d so as to move the contact parts 18b sideward. Accordingly, the electrode lands (6) of the IC 8 are wiped out by the contact parts 18b of this IC socket.
