PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting meshing of gears wherein a master gear can be exchanged simply in a short time. SOLUTION: A cylinder unit 24 is extended to butt a slider 13 with a cassette holder 46 held by a master gear exchange unit 42. Thereafter, a master gear cassette 14 is slid and moved from the slider 13 to the cassette holder 46. The master gear exchange unit 42 and the cassette holder 46 to which the master gear cassette 14 is transferred are rotated about a vertical shaft 40 by 90 deg. in a horizontal direction and further rotated about a horizontal axis by 90 deg.. Then, a master gear is separated and the other master gear stored at a stock position is set, whereby the exchange is completed.
