PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make realizable a clean animation with a small sacrifice as of the load and the power consumption of a microprocessor in an electronic device provided with the microprocessor, a liquid-crystal display screen and a screen driver with a memory. SOLUTION: The screen driver for liquid crystal display screen is provided with a circuit 50 called as an animation circuit in which the data can be not only displaced but also changed between a source address S of a RAM memory and a destination address. This RAM memory contains a screen memory and also contains a buffer memory as an advantageous example. According to this method, a central microprocessor of this device is not required to execute animation processing, and also the number of data exchange between the microprocessor and the screen driver is decreased and therefore, the power consumption of the device by screen animation is reduced.
