PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applying shaft capable of smoothly supplying a liquid material with adhesion such as mascara liquid in a liquid reservoir to fins. SOLUTION: A hollow liquid reservoir part 3 extending axially is provided in the center part of a shaft body 1. Many slits 4 for flowing liquid which communicate with the liquid reservoir part 3 are axially provided at prescribed intervals on a peripheral surface corresponding to the liquid reservoir part 3. Many fins 5 are formed in the interval parts. On a peripheral surface opposite to the respective fins 5, a plurality of through-holes 6 serving as liquid inlet holes and air holes communicating with the liquid reservoir part 3 are provided axially at prescribed intervals.
