PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of measuring the residual quantity of raw tea leaves capable of accurately calculating at low cost the weight of raw tea leaves left in respective raw tea leaf containers. SOLUTION: This method of measuring the residual quantity of raw tea leaves comprises calculating the total weight of raw tea leaves A held in a raw tea leaf chamber R, and, based on the total weight, calculating the aimed residual weights in respective raw tea leaf containers 1 according to the volume ratios for the raw tea leaves charged in the respective raw tea leaf containers 1; wherein the above total weight is calculated based on the difference between the charged weight and the withdrawn weight (the charged weight, i.e., the weight of raw tea leaves charged into the raw tea leaf chamber R, is defined as the received weight of the raw tea leaves A measured in receiving/loading them, while the withdrawn weight, i.e., the weight of raw tea leaves withdrawn from the chamber R, is defined as the cumulative weight indicated by raw tea leaf flow meters 9 installed on and after the process succeeding to the containers 1).
