PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject excrement-treating material in the form of granules that can be incinerated even when it contains water after the application as a paper diaper by combining crushed paper diaper of a specific particle size with an organic formulation material and utilizing the combination as a waste material of paper diaper of a higher calorific value. SOLUTION: The objective excrement-treating material for animals is prepared by using crushed paper diaper with particle sizes of <=5 mm and organic formulation materials and granulating the mixture. In this case, the calorific value of the excrement-treating material for animals is preferably 1,000-2,500 kilo-calorie/kg after application and the organic formulation material is the extraction residue of roasted coffee beans, used tea leaves, wood flour or their mixture.
