An aromatic polycarbonate resin composition having hydroxyl groups at its terminals, which has been thermally stabilized and also has excellent hydrolysis resistance comprises (A) 100 weight parts of an aromatic polycarbonate resin that contains hydroxyl groups in a proportion of at least 5% versus the total polymer terminal groups, and (B) at least 0.00001 weight part and less than 0.0002 weight part phosphorous acid.
