<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct sheet curl so as to prevent bending of a sheet tip part and a sheet feeding failure. SOLUTION: When a sheet 2 is discharged from a sheet conveying path for a double-side unit, the downstream part of the sheet 2 is held by a contact part between a sheet feed roller 32 and an intermediate tray 30, and the upstream part of the sheet 2 is held by a nip part of a pair of discharge rollers 27. Since the rotating speed of the sheet feed roller 32 is higher than that of a pair of discharge rollers 27, the sheet 2 is pulled by the sheet feed roller 32, so that tension acts upon the sheet 2. As a result, even if the sheet 2 is curled, the sheet curl can be straightened by the tension acting upon the sheet 2.</p> |
