PURPOSE: A method is provided to transmit a message to a digital pager in a communication system. CONSTITUTION: The method for transmitting a message to a pager(106) in a communication system(100) comprises the steps of: receiving a voice message from a caller in the communication system(100), wherein the voice message is to be transmitted; automatically converting the voice message to a text message, wherein the message is automatically converted by a data processing system(200) in response to a reception of the voice message, and wherein the data processing system(200) is connected to the communication system(100) to receive the voice message; and transmitting the text message to the pager(106).
