MANUFACTURE OF THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a polyester resin composition for contact operating type electric and electronic components having low gaseous properties and a flame retardance. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin composition by blending a flame retardant with a thermoplastic resin and melt kneading the mixture by using a vent type extruder comprises the steps of pouring 8.0-15.0 kg/cm2 of a pressurized water from a kneading zone of the extruder 0.5 to 1.0 pt.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of its discharging amount, and satisfying a condition of a formula: P1+0.1<=ΔP⊖P1+1.0 at a pressure difference P between a pressure P1 of a pressurized water inlet and a pressure P2 of a vent part.
