PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition imparting good dispersibility to a compound having a function such as a pigment. SOLUTION: This amphoteric resin composition comprises, (A1) a prepolymer composed of a polymerization initiator having carboxy group at the end, an amino group-containingα,β-ethylenically polymerizable compound, and anotherα,β-ethylenically polymerizable compound, (A2) a copolymerizable basic prepolymer obtained by reacting the prepolymer A1 with 0.1-1.0 equivalent compound of the formula (R1 is H or methyl; R is a 1-10C linear or branched alkyl), having an epoxy group, per equivalent of the amino group of the prepolymer A1, and (B2) anα,β-ethylenically polymerizable acidic prepolymer obtained by the similar reaction, and (C) anotherα,β-ethylenically polymerizable compound. The composition can provide a good dispersibility and weather resistance to a compound having functions such as various kind of pigments.
