PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly mount a door opening and closing damper between a door such as lower hinged door, etc., and a side plate internal wall of a door mounting body and to have both holding of a closing door or damping of an opening door and a closing door assisting function to promote safety. SOLUTION: A mounting case 3 is mounted to an side plate internal wall 1g of a door mounting body 1a, a continuous pivot arm 8 is pivoted on a rotational arm 7 pivoted on the mounting case with an arm shaft 7a, and the front end section 8a of the continuous pivot arm is pivoted on a washer 9 of a door 1f to use. In the case of door closing, a spring holding traveling body 5 in the mounting case 3 is moved upward by a compression spring 4, and by the constitution, torque in the direction of the arrow R1 is energized to the rotational arm 7 by a continuous pivot pin 6b through a pivot link arm 6 with the arm shaft 7a to hold a door closing state through the continuous pivot arm 8. In the case the door 1f is opened, the compression spring 4 is compressed to ensure slow movement of closing door, the rotational arm 7 and continuous pivot arm 8 is held in a state of a straight line on completion of door closing, and since the continuous pivot pin 6b is transferred on the axial center longitudinal line L1 to operate no torque on the rotational arm 7, a door 1e holds a horizontal door opening state.
