PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a galvanized steel sheet, which can prevent appearance deterioration of the surface of an object to be worked when the object is applied to press forming, in further detail, deep drawing with no applied oil. SOLUTION: A galvanized steel sheet excellent in deep drawing workability has a chromate layer of 10-100 mg/m2 thereon, and an inorganic and organic coating layer of 0.2 g/m2-1.5 g/m2 formed by applying and drying a solution prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. of aqueous colloidal silica, which has not received a dispersion stabilizing action by an alkali metal cation, with 5-50 pts.wt. of solid in a nonionic aqueous resin emulsion or dispersed liquid. The aqueous colloidal silica is pure silica colloid or silica colloid which has received a dispersion stabilizing action by an ammonium ion. Further, the nonionic aqueous resin emulsion or dispersed liquid consists of polyolefin wax or modified polyolefin wax.
