摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate interference between exhaust gases flowing through two flow conduits and split them to improve engine power, by forming partitions by overlapping a plurality of plates and forming slit for each partition plate not to cross each other, when an inside of a pipe element through which exhaust gas flows is divided into two flow conduits by the partitions. SOLUTION: A catalyst carrier is stored in a metallic case, a front cone 3 and a rear cone, pipe elements, are respectively welded to the front and rear portions of this. At least in the front cone 3, two partitions 5, 6 for radially dividing this inside into two parts along its center are arranged, and one pipe element is divided into two flow conduits 7, 8. Respective slits 9, 10; 11, 12 are formed in the both partitions 5, 6 so that the slits do not cross each other. Since the slits 9-12 do not cross each other, the both flow conduits 7, 8 do not inter-communicate each other. Therefore, because exhaust gases flowing through the both flow conduits 7, 8 do not interfere each other, the exhaust gas is split by dividing the both flow conduits 7, 8, and improvement of engine power can be accomplished.
