PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display apparatus with wide view angle is provided to improve display image quality without reducing contrast. CONSTITUTION: Trunk sections and gate bus lines are arranged alternatively in one direction with maintaining an established gab between two neighboring thing among the trunk sections and the bus lines. Branch sections of a common electrode are extended from the trunk sections to the gate bus lines, and main sections of respective pixel electrodes are arranged in parallel with the trunk sections. Each pixel electrode further comprises a connecting section for coupling the main sections at neighboring gate bus line.
