PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oily ink composition for a ball-point pen capable of forming an excellent holograph free from blur by including a colorant, an organic solvent, a resin and a specific chelating agent. SOLUTION: This ink composition comprises (A) preferably 3-40 wt.% (in the ink composition) of a colorant such as carbon black or the like, (B) preferably 40-80 wt.% of an organic solvent such as benzyl alcohol or the like, (C) preferably 1-25 wt.% of a resin such as a ketone resin or the like and (D) preferably 0.1-10 wt.% of one or more chelating agents of formula I to formula III (X is an alkali metal, an ammonium group, a 3-18C alkyl, alkenylamine or alkanolamine). The ink composition is adjusted to 1-10 Pa.s ink viscosity. |
