REED-SOLOMON CODING DEVICE AND METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An reed-solomon coding device is provided which can carry out the reed-solomon coding even though an original polynomial, a created polynomial and the number of error correction change. CONSTITUTION: The reed-solomon coding device comprises: a coefficient creating block of a creating polynomial(1) which receives an original polynomial fixed value(4) and a creating initial value(3) as its inputs and obtains a coefficient data(8) by using the inputs in expanding the creating polynomial; a data block(2) which has the original polynomial fixed value(4) as its input and encodes data by utilizing it in dividing an information polynomial by a creating polynomial.
