PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat knitting machine capable of surely carrying out an increased knitting operation by the use of the flat knitting machine, while preventing the rash action of a slider. SOLUTION: The first butt and the second butt are disposed in a composite needle slider comprising a needle main body and a slider. The second butt- increasing bypass route of the slider and an increasing guide cam engaged with the first butt of the slider and an induction cam means for inducing so that the first butt of the slider is engaged with the increasing guide cam are disposed at a slider butt route branching position between the increasing knitting operation of a cam lock and a knitting operation in the cam lock.
