LIGHT PLATE, A PLANE SOURCE OF LIGHT AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A light plate is provided to improve use efficiency of light from external and internal sources of light. CONSTITUTION: An internal light from an internal light source(3) is incident into a light plate(1) from an internal light receiving plane(1c), and an external light such as a natural light is incident into the light plate(1) from an external light receiving plane(1a). A light is reflected from a reflection plate(5) attached at a lower side of a light reflection plane(1d) or from three sides(1b), and the light thus reflected is repeated collected. The collected light is outputted from a light output plane(1e) of the light plate(1) to a diffusion plate(6). A light incident on the diffusion plate(6) is isotropically uniformly diffused in a required angle range by the diffusion plate(6) and a lens sheet(7), and then is outputted from the lens sheet(7) as a synthesized light.
