PURPOSE: When basic properties of powdered coal are deviated from optimum range, bridging, drift and pipe block during transportation of gas are caused in a hopper, stable blowing of the powdered coal is difficult for long time. Many methods to solve the problems have been reported, but the method have problems that the classes of the coal used in the blowing of the powdered coal are limited, and expenses for control apparatus or equipment are excessive. CONSTITUTION: When a method, that water soluble inorganic salts is used as conveyance enhancing agent to the powdered coal having over 30 average HGI of raw coal and the powdered coal which the conveyance enhancing agent is applied is dried in the blowing inlet of a metallurgy furnace or a combustion furnace, is used, the pipe pressure is under upper limit of an equipment and classes of usable coal broadened. Also the powdered coal is provided which can prevent bridging, drift and pipe block in a hopper.
