STRAIGHT TYPE FLOATING TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straight type floating tool for preventing a slanted wear of a grinding wheel and for cutting easily and accurately welding beads and parting burr of a work piece that has a step and a free-form surface. SOLUTION: A tool body 30 having a straight type grinder 21 is rotatably connected to a fixed holder 32 by a pin 31, and is rotated by a cylinder 35 arranged between the tool body 30 and the securing holder 32. Chatter in a rotating direction of the tool body 30 is suppressed by shock absorbers 40, 41 interposed between the tool body 30 and the securing holder 32. A supporting point (pin 31) for rotatably supporting the tool body 30 is positioned at a center of gravity of the tool body 30.
