PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pipe freeze preventing device at a lower manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A water pipe freeze preventing device includes a temperature switch 12 arranged in a switch case mainbody 64 of a power supply side unit 14 for a heater element 18 and adapted to be turned on/off with a temperature change and a heating element 68 arranged in proximity to a heat sensitive plate 56 for the temperature switch 12 in the switch case mainbody 64 and adapted to be powered on and heated when the temperature switch 12 is turned on and to be powered off and heat-cut when the temperature switch 12 is turned off. A resin portion 64d is laid in a gap between the heat sensitive plate 56 and the heating element 68 for isolating the heat sensitive plate 58 from the heating element 68. A temperature controller for the heater element 18 is constructed as a power supply side unit 14 of the heater element 18 so that the number of part items and the number of an assembling man-hour are reduced, thus reducing a manufacturing cost.
