PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject antifouling agent expressing extraordinary effects for preventing deposition of fouling organisms and highly safe by bringing the agent to contain a triphenylborane-amine complex as an effective ingredient. SOLUTION: This antifouling agent for fouling organisms in water is obtained by bringing the agent to contain one or more of compounds selected from triphenylborane amine complex compounds of formula I [X is a 2-6C alkylene; A is formula II (R1 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R2 is 1-6C alkyl when R1 is H and same as R1 when R1 is a 1-4 alkyl) or the formula, O-R3 (R3 is a 1-8C alkyl)] and formula III (Z is a 2-12C alkylene) as effective ingredients. As the compound of formula I, triphenylborane 3-diethylaminopropylamine complex, etc. are cited. As the compound of formula III, bis(triphenylborane) 1, 6-hexadiamine complex, etc. are cited.
