PURPOSE: An image transmission and display system is provided to have an access mechanism that a central tile of a tiled image is first searched and then another tile follows in a spiral type order. CONSTITUTION: The image transmission system comprises the following mechanism which includes the steps of: requiring at least a part of stored image in a storage system by designating co-ordinates defining a location in at least a part of a required image, for display (201); dividing the at least a part of image into plural tiles, wherein the plural tiles includes a first tile having the defined location of the designated co-ordinates and plural peripheral tiles (204); and displaying the at least a part of image in a style where the first tile is first displayed and the plural peripheral tiles follow in a spiral type order (206).
