AUTOMATIC INFORMATION READER IN PHYSICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read information smoothly in a physical distribution system even via a bar code communication system or a noncontact ID system. SOLUTION: Carriage cases 11 are provided with a bar code label 12 and an ID card 13 both glued thereto. Bar code readers 15-1 and 15-2 are installed in doors, while an ID reader 16 is arranged out of doors. The readout of data from the bar code label 12 or ID card 13 is triggered by detection signals optical sensors 17-1 to 17-3 output on detecting passage of the carriage case 11, which allows shared use of a read system and a control program.
