PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of heat efficiency by reducing the contact between outside air and heat medium liquid by forming a hole for fitting a sample container in a lid and installing a contraction mechanism which can change the diameter of the hole in the hole in a heating medium liquid tank having the lid covering the opening part of the tank. SOLUTION: In a heating medium liquid tank in which a sample container is immersed in heating medium liquid in the tank, and the opening part of the tank is covered with a lid 4, the lid 4 is fitted to the roof of a main body, and a contraction mechanism is installed in the lid 4. In the mechanism 5, a contraction actuating plate 6 is arranged on the lower surface of lid 4, and a contraction part 7 is arranged on the lower surface of the plate 6. A fitting hole 9 is formed in the lid 4, and when the diameter of the hole 9 is adjusted corresponding to the outside diameter of the sample container, by moving nipping nuts 13 and 13 along guide grooves 10 and 10 by loosening them, the plate 6 is rotated to rotate contraction blades 15 and so forth so that the diameter of the circular hole 9b of the fitting hole 9 is expanded/contracted. The rotation of the contraction blades 15 and so forth is stopped by loosening the nuts 13 and 13, and the diameter of the circular hole 9b is fixed.
