PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture moldings with a decorative surface easily and efficiently and thereby save on a manufacturing cost by printing a decorative pattern on one of the faces of a transparent resin material of a filmlike form or the like and applying a resin base in one piece over the printing face of a decorative layer to form a base layer. SOLUTION: A decorative layer 1 is formed by printing a decorative pattern on one of the faces of a filmlike or a thin sheetlike transparent resin material, and a resin base is applied in one piece to the printing face 1A of the decorative layer 1 to form a base layer 2. The material to be used for the formation of the decorative layer 1 is preferably an acryl, a polyethylene, proplypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride or polystyrene. When the decorative pattern is printed on the printing face 1A, the favorable printing technique is gravure printing using a heat-resistant ink. The technique to form the decorative layer 1 and the base layer 2 monolithically is preferably injection molding, press molding, extrusion molding or laminate molding as a recommendable technique.
