PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a vinyl polymer by continuous aqueous suspension polymerization, capable of affording the vinyl polymer having excellent filterability even at the beginning of overflow, and enabling stabilization of operating processes and production efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for continuous aqueous suspension polymerization for a vinyl polymer comprises continuously supplying a monomer and a polymerization initiator to a polymerization vessel and separating the objective polymer from overflowing polymer suspension, wherein the monomer and the polymerization initiator are continuously supplied to the polymerization vessel just after 0.3-0.8 V of water is previously put into the polymerization vessel having an overflow beginning volume of V.
