PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust cleaning catalyst device capable of maintaining a function of the exhaust cleaning catalyst (NOx catalyst) without deteriorating the traveling feeling of a vehicle while operating an internal combustion engine even in the case where a cleaning ability lowering material except for nitrogen oxide (NOx) is adhered. SOLUTION: This exhaust cleaning catalyst device is provided with an adhered variable estimating means (S10) for estimating the adhered variable of the cleaning ability lowering material adhered to the exhaust cleaning catalyst and catalyst heating means (S24, S26, S28) for raising temperature of the exhaust cleaning catalyst when the adhered variable estimated by the adhered variable estimating means achieves the predetermined adhered amount. Furthermore, this device is provided with lockup clutch control means (S20, S22) for switching a lockup clutch to the indirect connecting condition in case of raising temperature of the exhaust cleaning catalyst with a catalyst heating means in relation to a lockup clutch for switching connecting condition of an internal combustion engine and an automatic transmission between direct connection and indirect connection. |
