APPARATUS AND METHOD PERFORMING AN ON-TIME FUNCTION OF A TELEVISION SET

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method performing an on-time function of a television set is provided to easily wake up a user. CONSTITUTION: A present time register(210) stores a present time and a reserving time register(212) stores a reserving time. Two times stored at both registers(210)(212) are compared at a comparing unit(216). If the two times are identical, a microcomputer(218) responds to a signal provided from a control information register(214) to control a sound output amplifier(222) and a video output amplifier(224). Thereby, it is possible to change a volume of the television and a brightness of a television screen so as to wake up a user.
