PURPOSE: An apparatus of treating background screen for television is provided to display a certain image that a user wants to see, when the broadcasting signal is attenuated or not received. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a broadcasting signal receiver(100) for receiving a broadcasting signal through a tuner(2), a VCR(200) for supplying an image that a user wants to see when the broadcasting signal is abnormally received, an A/V switching IC(300) which is selectively switched to receive the broadcasting signal when the broadcasting signal is normal and to receive the image from the VCR when the broadcasting signal is abnormal, an A/D converter(400) for converting the image signal from the VCR when the broadcasting signal is abnormal, a memory(500) for inputting and storing the digital image signal from the A/D converter, a D/A converter(600) for converting the digital image signal stored in the memory, a main IC(700) which inputs the broadcasting signal from the A/V switching IC or the VCR image signal from the D/A converter and displays on a CRT, and a micro-computer(800) for controlling the broadcasting signal receiver, the A/V switching IC, the memory and the main IC. |
