PURPOSE: A getter of PDP(plasma display panel) and activation method thereof are provided to improve an impurity capture capability by increasing the surface area of the getter without getter formation holes. CONSTITUTION: A rear substrate(1) and a front substrate(2) having a display part(11,21) at center of the substrate are bonding spaced apart from each other. Discharging gases are injected to a discharging space between the rear and front substrates. Four getters(40) are arranged at outsides of display part(21) of the front substrate(2) and an electrodes(40) are arranged at outsides of display part(11) of the rear substrate(1). Terminals(31,41) are formed at the getter(30) and the electrode(40), respectively and connected to external power source, thereby activating the getters(30) due to the difference of voltage between the getters(30) and the electrodes(40) so as to capture impurities by the getters(40). |
