Thereafter, when the demanded load detecting means 22 detects a variation in a demanded loadθac, an allowable engine torque setting means 42 sets an allowable engine torqueΔTea in accordance with a gear ratio data Gr with which the drive torque is set to a predetermined allowable drive torque. Further, a second fuel volume setting means 44 sets a second fuel volumeΔQa in accordance with the allowable engine torqueΔTea. Further, if the first fuel volumeΔQt is greater than the second fuel volumeΔQa, fuel injection means 34, 36, 38 inject fuel for a predetermined period in accordance with the second fuel volumeΔQa.</p>
