TREATMENT OF MATERIAL CONTAINING HARMFUL COMPONENT BY USING POROUS TREATING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a porous treating agent which effectively causes catalytic reaction with a harmful component and to provide a treating method with a high removing effect of the harmful component by using this treating agent. SOLUTION: An alkali substance containing a vaporizing component which separates and scatters by heating and which produces harmless salts by the reaction with a harmful component is heated to vaporize and scatter the vaporizing component as CO2 and H2O to form pores (a) and interconnection pores (b). Thus, the obtd. treating agent has an increased surface area and is catalytically reacted with a harmful component (HCl and Cl) to increase the reaction effect and to effectively produce a harmless chloride (NaCl). Thus, the harmful component is removed.
