PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cloth adhesive tape having enhanced adhesion between a cloth and a polyolefinic resin in an easily controllable process by contacting the cloth with discharge plasma in an atmosphere of a treating gas of a specific pressure and then laminating it to the polyolefinic resin. SOLUTION: A cloth is contacted with discharge plasma generated between electrodes in an atmosphere of a treating gas of 100-800 Torr and subsequently laminated to a polyolefinic resin. As substrates for a cloth adhesive tape can be exemplified woven fabrics, nonwoven fabrics or the like made of staple fiber muslin-based fibers, polyester-based fibers, polyolefinic fibers or the like. As the polyolefinic resins laminated to the cloth, there can be exemplified polyethylene, polypropylene or the like. As the treating gas can be mentioned rare gases such as helium or the like, oxygen-containing substances (oxygen, water or the like), nitrogen-containing substances (nitrogen, ammonia or the like), sulfur-containing substances (sulfur dioxide or the like), mixtures thereof or the like.
