PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a De Dion type suspension which is capable of suppressing the generation of bending stress in an axle tube and which has high versatility. SOLUTION: An axle tube 13 allowing a drive shaft 4 to be inserted into an axle beam hub 7 (that is, to be arranged coaxially with an axis B passed through a wheel center A) is installed in the axle beam tube 7, and a spring mounting seat 8 is provided in the axle tube 13. When there is an input from the road surface through a wheel 2, no bending stress acts on an axle beam 3, the drive shaft 4, etc. The spring amounting seat 8 is provided on the axis B, and with respect to the mounting position of a rear coil spring in the car body, the car body is the same as the car body of a vehicle having a rigid axle type suspension. Thus, common use of the car body becomes possible (that is, the car has interchangeability), and therefore versatility of the car body can also be improved.
