PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper running corresponding to the demand of a driver when switching from a drive range to a manual range is effected. SOLUTION: A range selecting device is provided to switch a drive range where speed change operation is automatically executed and a manual range where a specified speed is obtained through manual operation by a driver. When the drive range D is switched to the manual range M by the range selecting device, a speed is forcibly changed to a speed different from a speed specified in the drive range D.
