PURPOSE: A purified terephthalic acid manufacturing method is provided to promote the elimination of a bubble and to improve the crude terephthalic acid content by improving the hydrogenation processing efficiency of the crude terephthalic acid. CONSTITUTION: The purified terephthalic acid manufacturing method is formed by the steps of: manufacturing the preparatory mixture of water and crude terephthalic acid having 55 to 75% of crystal content by preparatively mixing the crude terephthalic acid crystal with a certain amount of water; and manufacturing the aqueous slurry of a terephthalic acid crystal by mixing the preparatory mixture with the rest water.
