PURPOSE: A digitizer system is provided to know a sub area of a menu area where a pointer is put, without seeing a tablet. CONSTITUTION: The digitizer system comprises a digitizer tablet(15) and a pointer(17, 19). The digitizer tablet(15) has a substantially flat surface, and has a menu area(103) and a working area(102). The pointer(17, 19) is moved by a user on the substantially flat surface of the digitizer tablet(15). A cursor appears on a display screen(9) in different types corresponding to locations of the pointer(17, 19) on the digitizer tablet(15). The menu area(103) of the digitizer tablet(15) has a sub area as plural menu items(105 to 115) that a user can select, and a shape of the cursor is varied according to the sub area as menu items(105 to 115) on which the pointer of the tablet(15) is put. The digitizer tablet(15) has a plurality of overlapped loop coils for generating electromagnetic wave transferred to the pointer.
