PURPOSE: A device for adjusting a height of a gas cylinder typed chair is provided to contain a pipe holder of a simple structure for reducing manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A device for adjusting a height contains:a pipe holder(100) integrally shaped with different materials; an outer side of a holder main body(110) and an inner side of an operating aperture(41) formed by an elastic material(120) as a rubber; the holder main body formed by a metal material having relatively high hardness; and the operating aperture and the outer area of the holder main body formed by the elastic material working as an O-ring for keeping a sealing.
