PURPOSE: A trimming device is provided to secure an efficient trimming for practically removing every splinters. CONSTITUTION: A trimming device includes:more than one blade(11) possibly moving toward a cross direction from the moving direction(F1) of a slab(3); first propelling apparatuses(19, 20) for moving the blade toward the orbit of the slab; a peeler(4) being located in the upper unit of the blade from the moving direction; a second propelling instrument(8) operating to the peeler toward a detecting location; and a braking instrument(17) being connected to the peeler for locating the blade out of the orbit of the slab in the retreat location of the peeler.
