PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column structure capable of preventing stress concentration of a connection portion, obtaining high strength and good deforming characteristics and allowing connection from a steel pipe or a steel framed reinforced concrete column to a reinforced concrete column at a lower layer of a high-rise building. SOLUTION: A column structure is a column between a steel pipe concrete or a steel framed reinforced concrete and an reinforced concrete in a multilayered building, with its outer periphery covered to be constrained by a cylindrical steel plate 3. The upper part of the column is a reinforced concrete in which main bars 14 and shearing reinforcing bars 13 are distributed and the lower part of the column is a steel pipe concrete or a steel framed reinforced concrete in which steel pipes or steel frames are incorporated. Reinforcing bars 4 are distributed for communicating the reinforced concrete with the steel pipe concrete or the steel framed reinforced concrete and rib plates 6 are laid between the steep plate and a steel pipe column or a column steel frame in which concrete 5 is filled.
