METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A method of operating PDP is provided to prevent the appearance of stable dither pattern when the display signal is effected by the dithering. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of providing the video signal, adding noise to the video signal to take an improved signal, dithering the improved signal to acquire display signal. In the step of adding noise, only the negative type noise may be added and the improved signal may be transformed before the dithering step. Noise generator may generate small amount of noise corresponding to 0.5 lowest bit obtained by pseudo-random noise generator and noise may be added to high ohm point in the circuit for the allowance of simple noise input by register.
