<p>The units consist of factory built portable panels with lateral walls of reinforced concrete 3-8 cm. thick, pref. 4-6 cm. The units may be bolted together to form floors and ceilings, supported by suitable placed and dimensioned stanchions to form the building. The stanchions or support are conveniently individual blocks of concrete whose supporting surfaces are near the vertical edges of the units, pref. at a distance of at least 15cm. form the edges, each unit is supported by at least three stanchions with supporting surface of 100-500 cm2 each. Contact between the supports and the units is improved by applying a thermosetting plastic to the surfaces, partic. a filled polyester. The units have the advantage of limited thickness, ready portability and ability to form a rigid bolted structure.</p> |
