METHOD FOR ACQUIRING MULTIPLE STANDARD VIDEO DATA AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for acquiring a multiple standard video data are provided. CONSTITUTION: For a multiple standard video data acquisition, a decoder which includes a register(201) having 24 cells storing threefold 8-bit data is used. Each of three bytes is connected to a logic device in order to compare a starting code with a cell content. A starting byte of the register(202) is byte-3, and a byte-2 and byte-1 are then followed. Further, a 8-bit second register(202) is connected in parallel to the register(201). A content of the byte-3 is provided to a Hamming(8/4) decoder(203), and a content of the byte-2 is provided to a Hamming(8/4) decoder(204). Each decoder output of 4-bit is provided to an allocated 4-bit of the register(202).
