PURPOSE: A method of controlling an automatic-off of a television having a game function is provided to prevent the power-off during the game operation. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of: setting a game mode of a television set(S300); performing the game operation(S400); determining whether a broadcasting signal is provided or not(S500); stopping, in case that the broadcasting signal is not provided, an automatic power off(S600); maintaining the game operation(S700); determining the game end(S800); and performing, in case that the game is ended, the automatic power off. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the automatic power off during the game operation.
